Homeownership Made Affordable Under the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program To qualify for funds, Purchase and Sale Agreements must be executed after April 1st 2010 .
The County of Oxford is participating in the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program (AHP).
If you are currently renting and don’t have the money for a down payment, homeownership can now become a dream realized. The AHP has committed more than $28 million to make homeownership affordable.
The Homeownership component of the AHP provides up to 10 percent in down-payment assistance to eligible households with total income which does not exceed $74,300. Applicants must be renting, be at least 18 years of age and have access to mortgage financing.
The home can be brand new or re-sale and the purchase price must not exceed $202,270. To qualify for funds, Purchase and Sale Agreements must be executed after April 1st 2010.
