Services for You Long Term Care About Woodingford Lodge BPSO

Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)

Woodingford Lodge is proud to announce we have been selected by the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) to work towards becoming a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO).

BPSOs are globally recognized health care organizations selected by the RNAO to implement and deliver the highest quality, evidence-based care to our residents.

In order to earn the prestigious health care designation, Woodingford Lodge must implement and evaluate RNAO best practice guidelines.

We have selected the following three best practice guidelines as our focus:

  1. Preventing and addressing abuse and neglect of older adults.
  2. Person and family centered care.
  3. Assessment and management of pain.

We believe these guidelines reflect and complement our mission statement:
“We are a long term care home where our valued team is dedicated to providing compassionate and respectful resident-centered care.”

This is a great opportunity to gain recognition for all our hard-working staff and to continue making Woodingford Lodge an exceptional place to live and work.

Watch Irmajean Bajnok, Director of the International Affairs and Best Practice Guidelines Centre with the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario congratulate Woodingford Lodge on our entrance into the BPSO program.

This initiative is being carried out in cooperation with the Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, and is supported by funding from the Government of Ontario.
