Name Oxford County Library’s new mobile outreach vehicle!

Mobile outreach pilot to bring e-learning, entertainment, children’s programming and more to Oxford’s communities

The contest to name Oxford County Library's new mobile outreach vehicle is now closed. Stay tuned!

March 21, 2019

Oxford County Library will hit the road this spring when it launches a new mobile outreach pilot project to communities across Oxford County. To get ready, the Library is asking the public to help name its new “OCL on wheels” program.

If your suggestion is chosen, you’ll win a $30 gift certificate towards a stop of your choice on the Oxford County Cheese Trail, featuring award-winning cheese producers, restaurants and attractions.

All entries must be received either in person in an Oxford County Library branch during regular hours or via the online entry form before Sunday, April 7 at midnight.

About the mobile outreach pilot program

  • Will offer on-site library cards, computer access and online resources, workshops and demonstrations, and, of course, books

  • Will vist fairs and festivals, parks, pools, seniors’ residences, neighbourhoods and more between May and August this year

  • Will offer the library's many resources to people who cannot always access their local library because of a lack of transportation options or the ability to visit during regular operating hours
