Important changes as part of our COVID-19 response

Human Services remains open at this time, although offices have transitioned to an appointment only basis. The Ingersoll office has temporarily closed because it operates out of the closed local secondary school.

If you are a social housing tenant, please note that maintenance repairs will be limited to essential ones that impact safety.

The office remains available by phone or email to Oxford County residents who suddenly find themselves in need of financial assistance, food security or housing stability.

Oxford County maintains updates about programs and services impacts due to COVID-10 (coronavirus disease) at

Human Services

Oxford County takes an integrated approach to helping clients. Our focus is one client, one file, one caseworker.

Finding, understanding and applying for social and community services can be a challenge -- especially when someone is already facing difficult times. That’s why the Human Services professional team considers many different factors when helping a client: income, education, health, transportation, employment, safety/legal, and shelter.

By focusing on overall quality of life, the Human Services team can help clients find out about other community programs and resources that can help meet their needs. Our goal is to provide great service while helping clients enhance their quality of life and contribute to their community.
