Oxford Reads presents: An evening with Waubgeshig Rice
This year’s Oxford Reads experience, celebrating the book Moon of the Crusted Snow, will draw to close with a gala event on November 9 at Market Centre Theatre in Woodstock. The author, Waubgeshig Rice, will be on hand to discuss the book, with the evening presented by Chris dela Torre, host of Afternoon Drive on CBC London.
Now in its second year, Oxford Reads aims to connect readers across the County while celebrating Indigenous Canadian literature and fostering discussion. This year, Oxford County Library welcomed Woodstock Public Library as a partner in promoting the Oxford Reads experience.
Waubgeshig Rice is an author and journalist originally from Wasauksing First Nation near Parry Sound. Moon of the Crusted Snow is his third novel, which recently received the 2019 Evergreen Award, as voted on by readers from over 100 libraries in Ontario.
