Oxford Woodlot Owners Association returns

Landowners in Oxford County with woodlots may want to join the newly reformed Oxford Woodlot Owners Association, who are having their first meeting in several years this week.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 18 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the SWOX Community Hall in Foldens at 347091 Foldens Line.

“Invasive species in our woodlots” will be the topic of discussion. Presenters include Becky Stewart with Bird Studies Canada and Jeff Helsdon from the Ruff Grouse Society. The speakers will be providing the landowners with knowledge and regarding conservation efforts, highlighting the critical role they have in sustaining Canada’s forest birds.

The meeting is free to attend and will include refreshments and a raffle for door prizes.
